Is the Word of God- living? If your answer is yes- what does that mean?
The Lord revealed to me this morning what it is to agree with Him that the Word of God is living and active and cannot return to Him void or useless.
A friend called for intercession regarding a speaking engagement at an upcoming conference. The Lord opened my mouth and had me pray that the Word of God given to her would be spoken into the people with such fire and life that the presence of the Word now living within them would create deliverance not only in that room but in the market place, home and every subsequent location those listeners entered.
When we agree with scripture, it penetrates into the deepest parts of us, ignites with submission to the presence of God and delivers His people without any action on our part other than entering the room. This truth has left me in awe and praise all day long.
Hebrews 4:12 (AMP)
12 For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged [a]sword, penetrating as far as the division of the [b]soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Isaiah 5:11 (AMP)
So will My word be which goes out of My mouth;
It will not return to Me void (useless, without result),
Without accomplishing what I desire,
And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.
Pray: Teach me to pray. I confess that my prayers are little and without proper awe of the Lord. Deliver me from this ignorance. Teach me, my heart is willing and my entire being desires to hide the Word of God within me, to meditate on Your Word and be ignited by its living presence. Reveal to me the depth of Your scripture as deep calls to deep I ask that You grant Your daughter the eyes, ears, heart, and mind to see, feel, and know the fullness of scripture. Reveal so that I might operate as a useful and willing tool to enter where I am sent, carrying Your healing truth and salvation within me. Thank You, Amen.
