Prayer: I put the name of Christ upon myself and those I love and He will bless us. The Lord will bless us and watch, guard and keep over us; The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten us and be gracious( kind, merciful, and giving favor) to us; The Lord lift up His(approving) countenance upon us and give us peace(tranquility of heart and life continually). We agree with Your word God and seek Your face. Put Your name upon us and we will be filled with joy. Thank You, Jesus. Amen.

Prayer adapted from, Numbers 6:24-27 (AMPC)

Are you a tool?- I am

nik-macmillan-153579.jpgPhoto by Nik MacMillan on Unsplash

Will anyone pray with me for God to know you are His?  I am sure I will get some amens, but will you submit yourself to be a tool for God?  Maybe, not. In reality both questions hinge on your understanding of who God is.

2 Timothy 2:19-21

Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.”

In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use.  Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.

Do we believe that God can really know us?

If you are staring at this question and don’t know, I beg you to ask the Lord to enter your fortressed heart and allow yourself to know God and He you.

Matthew 7:21-25

I Never Knew You “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’  And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

Once you begin to see a glimpse of the glory of the Lord your desire to be used by the Maker of the Universe will become a driving force in your life. What greater thing can there be than to be a part of His will (even in the small things)? Allow God to cleanse you so that you might be a partner with Him in miracles. I promise you, you won’t be bored.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, search me and know me. Cleanse me of everything holding me back from You. I submit it all to You- even that which I thought was good. Order my life Lord Jesus. Use me a willing tool for Your will. Prepare me to do any good work. Interrupt my day with divine assignments. Your plans are always greater than my own. I desire to know You and be known by You, above all things of this earth.  Thank You, Jesus. Amen.

Revelation 21:19-21

The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald,  the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass. (NKJV)

Wow! If that’s what heavens gates look like just barely a glimpse within. No wonder people just want to squeak in. Salvation with a big sigh of relief. “Just made it”- victory dance and more than a few high fives.

Is there more than just the gates?

Why work for a closer relationship to Christ?

I too am guilty of just seeking His glory and am frightened to trust deeper. I refuse to live by fear but instead cling to His promises.

1 Corinthians 2:9  (NIV)

However, as it is written:

“What no eye has seen,
    what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”—
the things God has prepared for those who love him

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I acknowledge You in all things not just at the entrance but in the journey. Walk with me and teach me my heart. Open my eyes to the movement of heaven on earth. Search me and burn off what is chaff. Embolden my life to seek after what quickens Your heart. I desire Your throne room and not just Your gates. Thank You, Jesus in Your name. Amen.

Renewal of hope

You God are the great redeemer. I proclaim a renewal of hope and a renewal of calling in your life. Grant them a vision on how to give to the body of Christ. Embolden them to be conduits of love.  Spark, ignite, and re-fire your people to become seekers after Your great love. Empower them to use their giftings. Embolden them to run the race that was set before them by Your resurrection life.

I proclaim there is freedom in Christ. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

I proclaim the truth spoken by Christ, “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life. I choose life for my family and for all those I love and anyone that my heart touches.

As Christ’s perfect love takes, its seat in your life fear and anxiety will flee in Jesus name.

We praise You Jesus. Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty.  Worthy is the Lamb to be praised.  Let everything on the earth that has breath within it give praise.

Thank you, Jesus.  Amen.

Extravagant

We sometimes forget the maker of the Universe has an over-abundance for us.  He gives out of the secret store rooms of heaven. We ask for a single blossom and He delivers a extravagantly arrayed tree. Warm breezes release the blossoms fragrance, it descends slowly encompassing every aspect of our being in a sweet retreat of heavenly presence. He adores us.

Let us also consider we are called to show Jesus to those who do not yet know Him. To embolden their hearts to seek out the One thing that will bring them peace. Why would they seek Jesus if we demonstrate nothing different, no flare, no ignition point, no unanswered question a lingering thought, “What does she have?”

Let us give from our hearts; money, time, love, physical help, attention when most needed. Small reflections of the indescribable gift of His grace.

2 Corinthians 9: 10-15 AMP

10 Now He who provides seed for the sower and bread for food will provide and multiply your seed for sowing [that is, your resources] and increase the harvest of your righteousness [which shows itself in active goodness, kindness, and love]. 11 You will be enriched in every way so that you may be generous, and this [generosity, administered] through us is producing thanksgiving to God [from those who benefit]. 12 For the ministry of this service (offering) is not only supplying the needs of the saints (God’s people), but is also overflowing through many expressions of thanksgiving to God. 13 Because of this act of ministry, they will glorify God for your obedience to the gospel of Christ which you confess, as well as for your generous participation [in this gift] for them and for all [the other believers in need], 14 and they also long for you while they pray on your behalf, because of the surpassing measure of God’s grace [His undeserved favor, mercy, and blessing which is revealed] in you. 15 Now thanks be to God for His indescribable gift [which is precious beyond words]!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, Your grace still amazes me. Your generosity we could never match. Help us to delight in giving so we might glorify Your name. Remind us how much we have to give even when we have no financial resources we have supernatural resources. Your resurrection power resides within us- let us act as such. Embolden us to do Your will.  Thank You, for Your over-abundant,extravagantly released and ordained gifts. We praise You Jesus, Amen.

Precious

Precious

Life is so precious.  Why is it that we need to be confronted with pain, uncertainty and risk of death to truly embrace and digest that truth. We rush through life and never look at what is precious.  Lately, I have been pausing at each task and saying will this effect eternity? Will it matter even a day from now?

Consider this.  How you spend your time is how you spend your life.

2 Corinthians 4:18 (AMP)

So we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are unseen; for the things which are visible are temporal [just brief and fleeting], but the things which are invisible are everlasting and imperishable.

Prayer: Work within us the knowledge of this gift called life. You created us for Your perfect purposes remind us of this. Strengthen within us the joy of our salvation, so that we might have the wisdom to turn away tasks that are beneath our calling. Remind us that we are sons and daughters of the King Most High.  All praise and glory to Christ this Christmas season and always.  Amen.

Outrageous love!

Ephesians 3:16-18 (AMP)

16 May He grant you out of the riches of His glory, to be strengthened and spiritually energized with power through His Spirit in your inner self, [indwelling your innermost being and personality], 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through your faith. And may you, having been [deeply] rooted and [securely] grounded in love, 18 be fully capable of comprehending with all the saints (God’s people) the width and length and height and depth of His love [fully experiencing that amazing, endless love];

Prayer:  Lord Jesus, work your miraculous wisdom within us.  Teach us our identity in Christ. Whisper to our inner being who we are as your daughters and sons. We proclaim and declare it is our desire for You to abide within us and we within You. Please draw us near. Remind us of the mysteries You spoke to us before creation. Help me to rest in your outrageous love. Thank You, Jesus. Amen
